Your pageant director will help answer many questions during the informational meeting and the mandatory 1st meeting but here's some of the most asked questions.
How old do you have to be to participate in the Pageant?
Little Miss contestant eligibility is from 8 to 12 years old.
Miss Woodstock contestants can be 16 to 21 years old.
Do I have to live in Woodstock?
Eligibility requires that you live in the 60098 zip code OR in the D200 School District.
How much does it cost to enter?
There is a $50 application fee due when application is turned in (contestant responsibility). You are also required to secure a business sponsor who pays a sponsor fee of $350 for Miss candidate or $250 per Little Miss.
When are rehearsals? What if I miss one?
This year rehearsals are yet to be scheduled. We understand something unforeseen can arise where you miss a rehearsal. Missing one isn't a problem. Attendance is used for tie breaking decisions, plus rehearsals are fun so you won't want to miss more than one!
If I don't dance, sing or play an instrument can I still participate?
Yes! You can do so many things for a talent. We have had contestants tell jokes, draw, do makeovers or hair styling, tell an original story, teach something and even hula hoop! Your fellow contestants and the Pageant team will help you find a talent to showcase!
Can I quit if I change my mind about participating after rehearsals start?
If you are unsure about participating we want you to recognize that applying is a commitment to your sponsor as well the other pageant participants to stick with it.
Is this a beauty pageant?
No. This is a scholarship pageant. We are focused on helping you develop as an individual to learn people skills, poise, improve communication skills, and grow your self confidence in a manner that brings you valuable skills useful for a lifetime.
